Report urgent roof damage or an active leak
If water is entering your property or a storm has damaged the roof, explain the problem clearly when you contact Isle of Wight Roofing. Include your postcode, whether the leak is active and whether any roof materials appear loose. Emergency enquiries are assessed against availability, the conditions and safe access; a form submission does not confirm attendance or a response time.
Staying safe around roof damage
Do not climb onto the roof, enter an unsafe loft or stand beneath loose materials. Keep people away from affected areas. If water is near electrical fittings, avoid contact and obtain appropriate urgent electrical assistance. For an immediate danger to life, contact the emergency services. Roof access may have to wait until the weather allows it.
Temporary roof protection and permanent repairs
In some circumstances, temporary weather protection can reduce further water entry while a permanent repair is planned. Whether that is possible depends on access, the roof condition and the weather. Temporary measures have limitations and should not be confused with a completed permanent repair. We explain the proposed work and any follow-up requirements.
Information for an emergency roof repair enquiry
Tell us the property type, roof material if known, when the damage occurred and whether there are vulnerable areas inside. Photographs from a safe position can help after contact, but do not take risks to obtain them. Mention any access restrictions and whether scaffold is already present.
Planning repairs after storm damage
A storm can expose existing weaknesses as well as cause new damage. Once the urgent situation has been assessed, a more complete repair plan may be needed. Keep a record of visible damage and communications if you intend to discuss a claim with your insurer. We do not determine insurance cover or guarantee an insurer will reimburse the work.
